I teamed up with a killer cast of people to make this record happen for a worthy cause in Nakuru, Kenya. This project started out with a vision to go to Kenya and write 10 songs in 10 days while I was IN Africa. I was going to come back to the US and record a lower budget record with mostly acoustic based songs. God had a different plan. After a few days of pre-production (getting the songs in line and our thoughts together) with producer Andy Hunt at Wide Studios in Nashville, TN we realized this project needed to be 'bigger.' So we brought in the dream team of musicians (totally my humble opinion) to carefully craft these songs in what they needed to be. We spent 3 looooong days at Smokestack 2.0 in Berry Hill laying down the foundation of what will be known as 10 Songs 10 Days Africa. Paul Moak, Tony Lucido, Ben Phillips, Nathan Dugger, Steve Mason, Will Sayles, Brandon McGuiness and James Sweeting brought their stellar creativity to craft each one of these songs into something special. After laying down the last set of vocals I headed back to the ATL super excited about what we had accomplished in just 10 days of studio time.

What's next?

Reid Shippen and Andy Hunt will mix the tunes and Dan Shike will put the finishing touches on it with mastering. This album started out with a simple vision and what has come from that vision is a pop/rock record with something for everyone. Best thing is...when you purchase this record ($20) for your listening pleasure (and you will be pleasurized) you are allowing $40 to get sent to help our brothers and sisters in Kenya because The Beech Foundation has said they would match $1 for $1 every CD sold.
